IBO
Meter Data Management
iBO is a complete Meter Data Management
(MDM) system, that enables the advanced
functionality expected of an MDM system:
VEE, auditability, market integration,
settlement/reconciliation and advanced
reporting.
Unlike many MDM products which sit separate
to the AMR, iBO has AMR built-in. iBO
is ‘meter-agnostic’, and
interrogates all major brands of time
interval metering. The AMR components
of iBO perform the functions expected
of an AMR system: meter configuration,
meter interrogation, receiving of third
party data files, data delivery. It
also includes a few features that blur
the line between AMR and MDM, such as
the integrated fault management system.
iBO also serves as the central data
repository, storing all metering configuration
information and usage data.
iBO is delivered via a web-browser,
using secure encrypted transmission.
The interface itself is user-friendly
and intuitive, allowing for an accelerated
learning curve and peak performance.
iBO is a truly scalable system, which
means it tailors itself to any size
of organisation, in any state of flux.
Small organisations don't need or want
a system bloated beyond their requirements,
and priced beyond their means. Large
organisations want to ensure their processes
are so efficient that they don't get
bogged down in the paperwork of their
own success. Growing organisations need
a system that can grow with them, keeping
their infrastructure costs per meter
at a suitable level. As a system that
has been designed with scalability in
mind, iBO satisfies all of these requirements.
Energy Intellect recognises that different
customers will have different requirements
and perspectives. As such, iBO has a
range of options for flexible implementation.
This allows clients to choose a system
setup and pricing model that fits with
their business. Customers can choose
a ‘Client-Server’ relationship
where they host all the hardware, all
the software, all the data and run all
the operations in-house.

and Benefits |

Because
iBO integrates seamlessly with
existing reading systems, your
investment in that does not need
to be discarded. |
|
• |
Requirements
concerning the location of hardware
or data storage can be accommodated.

iBO costs
less to distribute, support and

|
• |
High
degree of control over the metering
service provision process through
Service Level Agreements |
|
• |
Allows the
client to focus on their core
business. Clients can also opt
for a hybrid implementation, choosing
to manage some elements in-house,
and preferring Energy Intellect
to host others. |
| • |
If Energy
Intellect hosts the hardware,
software and data, the complexity
of the infrastructure is kept
behind the scenes. This allows
operators to focus on what's in
front of them, without concerning
themselves with what's behind
it. |
At the other end of the scale is a SaaS
implementation – Software as a
Service. The most comprehensive execution
of this would see Energy Intellect hosting
the software, the hardware, the data
and even provide operators to manage
the day-today operations. |
