VMCA & VMCC RS485 Networking

VMCA (VM Communications Adaptor)
- > VMCA provides 1 x RJ45 RS232 and 2 x RJ45 RS485 connections
- > LED indicators for Power, Master/Slave modes and RS232 - RS485 activity
- > Powered by the VM meter through the RS232 serial connection
- > Supports both master (modem) and slave (meter) devices on a 4 wire RS485 bus
- > Supports multi-master operation
VMCA converts the VM meter RS232 communications interface to RS485 enabling multiple VM meters to be connected to a single communications device such as WIPG247A GSM / GPRS Cellular Modem.

VMCC (VM Communications Connector)
- > VMCC provides 3 x RJ45 RS485 connections (passive interconnection)
VMCC connects to the RS485 port from a VMX to enable multiple VM meters to be connected to a single communications device.
