B - Centralised Generation Export Power Management

This example demonstrates a typical networked metrology configuration for a centralised generation installation where multiple metering points are required for a number of generating units.

The VM meters are effectively networked using an VMCA RS485 data communication device connected to an internet device server.

Both the RS485 converters and the internet device server are directly powered by the VM meter, no additional power supplies are required by the communications devices which simplifies installation and significantly reduces installation time and cost.
